Outfit Highlights of the Week

Feminine, office appropriate, and comfortable were the standards for this week's set of outfits.

 Less is more with this belted grey dress from Maurices (Same dress here! Grey Belted Dress).  It accents the waist but keeps the eyes moving with the buttoned asymmetrical neckline and a-lined skirt.  I love how shoes can make this dress appropriate for the office and church (closed-toe heels or ballet flats), or a date night out (open-toed, fun heels).

Paired with darker jeans, this top seems to transition a little better from day to night, as well as from Summer to Fall.  I originally purchased this top from Charming Charlies (ironically to go with the pearl necklace shown!).  It was an impulse buy that proved worthy.

I love shirts that have an overlay.  They seem to float off of the body - which is extremely flattering, especially after I've enjoyed myself far too much at lunch with friends!  This shirt is made from a comfortable t-shirt material but has a dressier look with the overlay.  The fun turquoise necklace adds a little pop of color.
