Item of the Week: Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Nail Polish

In a perfect world, I would leisurely paint my nails while watching 

my three cherubic children pay a board game--smiling and 

graciously congratulating each other, of course.  

Yup, that's not my world.  

I need a nail polish that's fast-drying for smudge-free tips. 

 I need Sally Hanson's Insta-Dri Nail Polish!

Well-manicured nails are the cherry on top of an outfit.  They can elevate your style from every day, to polished (Pun intended)!  They communicate that you took that extra time to prepare for your day or your meeting with someone.  If I had the time and money, I would have well-manicured nails every day.  But I have limited amounts of both, so for a while I was on the hunt for the perfect nail polish for my personality.  

I'm not the best at planning ahead when it comes to getting myself ready.  A few weeks ago my office was honored with the Blue Ribbon Award.  It means we are in the top 10% of the company...a nice accomplishment.  It also meant we hosted a ceremony where Corporate came in to congratulate us in front of the community.   We all wanted to show off our best side and be perfectly "polished."  I was a hot mess the morning of the event, of course.  Despite laying everything out, a preschool cereal bowl disaster and a fight over the kid's bathroom shower left me scrambling at the last minute.  With minutes to spare, I grabbed the midnight navy bottle of Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri and dashed out the door.  I swiped a coat on as soon as I got to my desk, turned on my computer, logged into our system, and then swiped on a second coat.  My nails looks "Blue Ribbon" ready in less than 7 minutes!
That is by far the the biggest perk of this nail polish.  Despite my "fly by the seat of my pants" lifestyle, I can still have nice looking nails within minutes.

One disclaimer I should note is that while the color goes one smoothly and dries quickly, it also tends to chip easily.  I always try to swipe on a top coat which extends the life of the color, but after a few days you will most likely need to either reapply or start with a whole new color.  With how much I change my nail color, this isn't a big deal for me.

A relaxing manicure or pedicure at a salon is definitely a luxury of both time and money for which I will gladly splurge, especially if it means a Girl's Night Out.  But for every day color changes, I tend to only use Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail polish.
